Design

Our onsite draftsman uses Solidworks software which enables us to complete detailed drawings including cut lists that we can then supply to our welders ensuring efficient and accurate completion of manufacture. Solidworks also provides us the ability to complete 3D concept drawings enabling our clients to see in detail exactly what we will supply.

We also use Truckscience software which allows us to gather accurate data to ensure the exact placement of axles to allow load sharing and distribution of weight across the trailer and tow ball.

Licences and Tickets Held

We understand that licences and qualifications are integral to the safe running of our business. We also know that maintaining an upskilled team ensures that we are delivering only the very best to our customers.

  • HVRAS approved inspectors (Neil Newnham)
  • Transport Approved Inspection Station (So we can legally conduct Roadworthies)
  • Trade Qualified staff (Automotive Manufacture Bus, Truck, Trailer & Boilermakers)

Occupational Health and Safety

The safety of our staff and clients is paramount and therefore we are a current member of ASSA (Advanced Safety Systems Australia). We also have team members with certificate IV qualifications in WH&S and we continuously operate in compliance with all OHS requirements.

Capacity

Through proficient job management, concise organization and efficient factory layout, Belco’s capacity is significant for a company our size. We generally operate with 10 jobs that the staff are actively working on (one per person) and carry up to 110 jobs on the board at any one time.

Whilst actively working on 10 jobs we can also have up to 10 jobs at the galvanizers and up to 10 trailers in the yard waiting for assembly. This means that when we say “when do you want it” we can deliver your trailer on time.

Track Record

Belco knows that our customers are happy as the majority of our work comes from return clientele along with referrals. We work in conjunction with the client to ensure the trailer they receive is “fit for purpose” and meets their requirements and expectations.

At Belco we are so confident in our product that we offer a 10-year warranty on chassis and drawbar and 12 months or OEM on bolt-on components.

Management Systems

  • With the help of our production management software – Workflowmax, we keep all our projects on track and within budget. Each week a production meeting is held between the supervisors, management and procurement team to schedule the work.
  • Belco has a production process with stringent Quality Assurance checks performed throughout to ensure that production is efficient and accurate.
  • Our company’s management system has also been certified to ISO 9001 / 14001 and 45001 standards, to ensure it is as robust as it can be.

Safety

We understand the importance of safety at Belco, which is why we hold weekly toolbox meetings within which we discuss safety requirements and any changes that need to be made to ensure that we are always compliant. All of our new employees are inducted and must complete an online induction which is done through ASSA. We also do an onsite induction with every staff member. Our Emergency procedures are in place and managed by our senior management team.

Environment

We understand that how we manage our waste is important At Belco.

  • We recycle all of our cardboard and paper
  • We recycle our scrap metal
  • We invoice electronically
  • We have 60 solar panels on the roof to combat electricity use
  • We have Led lighting
  • We use inverter welders to reduce power consumption
  • Any sheet metal surplus is turned into components using our laser cutter

– so we have a near zero metal waste policy.

Quality

Quality assurance is paramount to enable the successful production of high-end custom designed and manufactured products. Belco has developed a detailed ‘in house’ QA process that has quality reviews performed at various stages throughout manufacture, including a meticulous final QA analysis to ensure that our products are both safe and durable.

Computer modelling of the 3D concept trailer is drafted ‘in house’ and if required FEA (finite element analysis) calculations are executed by an independent engineer.

When we say you can Trust a Belco trailer, we really mean it and we build the trust into how we manufacture.
